Make sure that the power adaptor is properly connected.
Make sure that the instrument's volume control is turned up.
Make sure that the volume control on the Magicstomp is not set to 0.
Make sure that the effect's output level is not set to 0. |

 |
 |
Make sure that the effect's output level is not
set to 0.
Check to see if the effect is switched OFF (all lamps on the effect are OFF).
If so, switch the effect ON. |
 |
Adjusting the control knob
has no effect on the sound |
 |
 |
Rotate the knob until the value shown on the display
changes, and then try setting. |
 |
I can't change to another
patch. |
 |
 |
Check the display. You can not select another patch
if the Magicstomp is in its Tuner Mode or Name Edit Mode. Exit the mode and try
again (select a patch and switch the effect ON). |
 |
The sound coming from the
amplifier is unnaturally distorted. |
 |
 |
The Magicstomp's output level may be set too high.
If so, reduce the volume on the Magicstomp. |
 |
The USB Driver does not install. |
 |
 |
Make sure the USB cable is properly connected.
If so, try unplugging and reconnecting the cable.
If the previous advice does not solve the problem, it could be that your computer's
USB function is not enabled.
 |
If the Add New Hardware wizard did no
appear when you connected the Magicstomp to the computer for the first time, it
is likely that your computer's USB function is not enabled. If so, perform the
following procedure:
1) For Windows 98/Me users, select [Control Panel] [System]
[Device Manager] or,
For Windows 2000/XP users, select [Control Panel] (Windows XP: Classic View)
[System] [Hardware] [Device Manager].
2) Make sure that there are no ! or x marks in the [Universal
Serial Bus Controller] or [USB Root Hub] settings. If you see such a mark, the
USB controller is disabled. Refer to your computer's operating manual and enable
the USB controller. |
It also may be that an unknown device is registered.
 |
If driver installation fails, the Magicstomp is marked
as an [Unknown Device] and the driver will not install. Use the following procedure
to delete the [Unknown Device].
1) For Windows 98/Me users, select [Control Panel] [System]
[Device Manager] or,
For Windows 2000/XP users, select [Control Panel] (Windows XP: Classic View)
[System] [Hardware] [Device Manager].
2) Look for [Other Devices] in the [View Devices by Type] menu.
3) If you find [Other Devices], double-click it to extend the tree and look for
[Unknown Device]. If one is found, select it and click on the [Remove] button.
4) Disconnect the USB cable from the Magicstomp and reconnect the cable again.
5) Install the driver again. (Refer to page 2 of the Software for Magicstomp Install
Guide). |

Check and see if the [Monitor] button in the toolbar
is depressed.

procedure:
