P52: SmallComp A high-sound-quality compressor with a long, attractive sustain and delightful, crisp, percussive sound; very much like the MXR "DynaComp." With the COMP ATTACK (Knob 2) set for "fast" (parameter value = low), it can also be used as a limiter to keep the peaks under control. When the COMP RATIO (Knob 1) is kept down around 3:1, it will work to keep picking volumes consistent, all without making the entire sound seem unnatural and too obviously like it's been compressed. The names of preset patches incorporated in MAGICSTOMP and comments on tones are for descriptive purpose only.
